A day around Okayama

Getting there

Okayama is a major stop on the Sanyo Shinkansen, around 45 minutes from Shin Osaka and under an hour from Hiroshima, which makes it an easy add to any western Japan route. From Okayama Station, trams and buses cover the short hop to the castle and garden district, and the JR local line runs to Kurashiki in about a quarter of an hour.
