Orizuru Tower stands directly beside the Atomic Bomb Dome in the heart of Hiroshima, and its rooftop offers a perspective no other place in the city can: the dome, the Peace Memorial Park and the rivers of the delta seen quietly from above, with the city that rebuilt itself spreading in every direction. Visiting thoughtfully

Orizuru Tower works best paired with the Peace Memorial Museum and park, ideally afterwards, when its calm rooftop gives you space to sit with what you have seen. Late afternoon light over the dome and rivers is particularly fine.

Getting there

Take the Hiroden streetcar to the Genbaku Dome-mae stop and the tower is directly across from the Atomic Bomb Dome. From Hiroshima Station the tram takes about fifteen minutes, or the sightseeing loop bus stops nearby.
