teamLab Forest in Fukuoka pairs a catch-and-collect digital creature hunt with the collective’s signature athletic-scale installations, inside the BOSS E ZO entertainment building beside the PayPay Dome. It is smaller than the Tokyo museums and more physical, which makes it the best teamLab for younger kids.
One side is the Catching and Collecting Forest, where creatures you photograph join your phone’s collection; the other is the Athletics Forest of climbable, bouncing, glowing terrain. Ninety minutes covers it, and it stacks with the rest of E ZO’s floors, from the rooftop slide to the food hall.
Tojinmachi Station on the Kuko subway line plus a 15 minute walk toward the dome, or direct buses from Hakata and Tenjin.
Which teamLab if I have done Tokyo’s? This one adds the movement element the museums lack, and kids prefer it.
Timed tickets? Yes, dated e-tickets with entry windows, busiest on weekends and dome event days.
